Someone emailed about donating an ultrasound machine but it was a scam from Kenya

Someone reached out through my friend’s business website saying they wanted to donate an ultrasound machine in memory of their late husband. They gave a lot of technical details about the machine and even sent photo attachments of it. They said I just needed to cover the shipping cost from a storage site in Mississippi to my clinic.

I googled the email address and it came back to a man in Kenya. He has active LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram profiles. So it was just a phishing thing trying to get me to send money for shipping. I didn’t lose anything but it felt really wrong that they used a fake story like that.
