Got a text saying I have a waiver check from GMAC Mortgage

I got a text message out of the blue. It said it was from GMAC Mortgage and that I had a waiver check allocated to me. The message told me to call a number to claim it, which was (888) 788-4779.

I looked it up and the address they gave was just Merchantville, NJ 08109, with no real street address. It felt off. I never had any business with GMAC Mortgage for a check or anything. This seems like a phishing attempt to get my information. I didn't call the number and I didn't lose any money, but I don't like getting these random texts.
