Text saying a $600 borrowing request was pending

I got a text saying I had a borrowing request pending for $600. I never asked to borrow anything from anyone. There was a link in the text to check the status, so I clicked it to see what it was about.

Then I got another text with a link saying it was approved. I didn't fill out any application or request anything, so none of this made sense to me.

I don't know who these people are or how they got my number. The whole thing felt like a phishing attempt.
