Voicemail saying I owe $1,400 for a $1,000 loan
They told me I owe $1,400 for a loan I took out, but the loan was only $1,000. I kept asking for proof and all they would say is it was through Advance America, Cash America Advance, and that there were multiple company names it could be under. They knew my name, an old address, and the name of my bank, which really bothered me. They said "we have a delinquent account for your name and social."
I asked for written proof and they said they're not collections, they're a mediation company. They said a collections company had tried to mail and email me notices. They kept pushing me to pay so legal action wouldn't be taken.
