Rental ad on Facebook turned out to be fake owner
She sent me a rental agreement and application. I filled it out and sent it back. Then she asked for a $1000 security deposit and said once she got it, she would meet me at the house with the keys and the lease. But she kept putting off meeting me to see the inside. She only gave me the address so I could look at the outside.
I got a bad feeling and went to the town clerk to check if she was the owner. She wasn't. She doesn't own any property in town at all. I lost $1000 and she still messages me. I reported it to the state police, the FBI, and the FTC. Her phone number is (231) 489-6787 and her email is [email protected].
