Website missing the E in GE sold me fake filters
Went to LOWES to purchase what looked exactly the same, same box, same size filter. Then I went on to ask them and realized the website is missing the "e" in GE. When I go on that site now it's advertising some kind of back massagers.
Cheap GE water filter turned out to be a knockoff
After I got it, I installed it and my fridge won't reset and the water won't dispense. I tried troubleshooting every possible way. Then I looked at the packaging again, which looks identical, and noticed it says "made in China" in the very bottom corner. My old filter says "made in Taiwan." There's also slight physical differences in the actual filter but all the other writing is the same. It's obvious this is a knockoff and doesn't have the RFID sensors like the original ones do to let my fridge reset.
I paid $75 for this. Their phone number is (225) 258-7336 and the address listed is 1009 2nd St Sacramento, CA 95814.
Counterfeit GE water filters with no RFID chip
I saw another guy reported the same thing on Aug 17, 2026. Same exact problem. These are counterfeit, plain and simple. I paid 75 dollars for these. Their email is [email protected] and the address on the site says 1009 2nd St, Sacramento, CA.
I tried calling the number they listed, (225) 258-7336, but I don't expect much. Just want people to stay away from these scammers.
Ordered a filter but got a counterfeit and weird receipt
The weird part is the receipt I got in my email. The business name on it doesn't match the website at all. And the contact email is different too. The PayPal charge came from [email protected] which has nothing to do with the website. Their address is listed as 1009 2nd Street in Sacramento but who knows if that's even real. I just want people to know to stay away from this place.
