Called looking for my husband about a loan he never took

So this guy named Greg or Gregory called and asked for my husband Harold. I drive a truck so my wife answered the phone and they asked if she could talk to me about him. She said yes and I got on. They asked for his last 4 of social and his date of birth and I gave it to them. Looking back I probably shouldn't have but they sounded official.

They said he took out a cash advance back in August 2021 in Mechanicsville VA. But we didn't even move to Virginia until July of 2022. That makes no sense at all. So I asked them if they were calling on behalf of the actual company and I asked for the exact location where this loan was supposedly taken out and if they had video of my husband being there. Then he just hung up on me.
