Trying to buy an engine but they want a check picture

I was trying to buy an engine for my truck from this place. The guy had an Indian accent and he wouldn't take a charge card. He wanted me to write a check and send a picture of it instead. That made no sense to me at all. Who asks for a picture of a check?

I didn't do it. The phone number was (270) 216-2745 and the email was [email protected]. They said they were in Kentucky. I just wanted to buy an engine and now I'm getting the runaround over payment. I'm not sending a picture of a check to someone I don't know.
