Ad for Harper & Wells showed up on a news site I trusted

I saw an ad for Harper & Wells on a news website. I think it was The Atlantic but I also subscribe to the NYTimes, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, The Guardian so it could have been one of those. I should have known better when I saw the Chinese parent company on their website but I let myself get reassured by the warehouse location they listed in the Netherlands.

The website is harperwells-boston.com and the address they gave is in Boston, MA 02121. I lost $49.95 on this. I'm glad it wasn't more but it still stings. The whole thing happened just like that other person described from May 12, 2026 except the person I dealt with, Emily Parker, never said anything about shipping anything back to China. I got fooled by an ad on a site I thought was legit.

DOES NOT HONOR RETURN POLICY

After many emails, they have not honored their return policy. Their products were of very poor quality and do not fit properly. Do not buy from this company unless you want to waste your money. The email below was the third reply from them where I have been clear that I want to return these items. It took three emails to them to get a reply and now they won't issue a return.

Ordered linen clothing but got polyester and no return address

I ordered some clothing from Harper & Wells because it was advertised as linen. What showed up was elastaine and polyester. The shoes were too small and just really poor quality. Their website says hassle free returns.

But they will not give me a return address. They keep offering a 30% refund if I keep the stuff. I have sent several emails over the past week trying to get a real resolution but nothing. Their email is [email protected] and I see the phone is (917) 724-2963. I spent $116.91 and just want to send it back.
