Called about an old Beneficial loan I paid off years ago
They are saying I owe money on an old Beneficial loan that went to collections back in August 2009. I paid that loan off through my Bank of America checking account, most likely between the 19th and 24th of that month. I paid this thing years ago. So why am I just now hearing about this?
I mentioned the old letter I have about this. This debt was settled a long time ago. I really think this is a scam. Am I right to think that? Just want to know what's going on.
