Letter about unclaimed life insurance with no real law firm

Got a letter in the mail from a law firm, or what looked like one, named Howard Gilb Law. It said we might be possible claimants to some unclaimed money from a "permanent life insurance policy." The letter said 10% of the funds would go to charities and the remaining 90% would be split 50/50 between the law firm and us.

The letter was postmarked Houston, Texas on Aug 28 with a regular stamp. It had an address in Sarnia, ON, Canada on it which seemed weird. To get more info, they said to email [email protected] and copy [email protected]. The name sounds close to a real firm maybe, but something felt off about the whole thing. I did not call the phone number listed either, just seemed strange to get something like this out of nowhere.
