Phone call claiming to be from HUD about reverse mortgage

Someone called trying to get my stepmom to refinance her reverse mortgage. He said he was from HUD but then asked for the balance of the reverse mortgage. I said don't you have that information since you're from HUD. He didn't answer the question and just said they had issues with getting the owner occupancy certificates updated in their system. I think he knew I was on to him so he nicely signed off the call.
