Paid extra fees for a package that never came

I bought a dashboard from a guy on Facebook and the shipping company he used put a hold on my package. He told me to contact imperial so I did. Next thing I know they kept emailing me about how I needed to pay $185 for this, then $220 for that, and then $330 for something else. I just wanted my package. I ended up sending them $955 total. The emails just kept coming with more fees and I still never got anything.
