Car buyer pushed a fake vehicle history report website

We are selling our car and this person contacted us saying they were local. They knew stuff about the neighborhoods and random local things so it seemed legit. They asked for a vehicle history report and mentioned carfax but said they preferred inspexic because it was cheaper.

So we went ahead and bought the report from inspexic.com for $40. Instead of a report we got a virus file. After that we started digging and found out inspexic is a scam company. The phone number they used was spoofed, showing a Wisconsin number but the address they list is in Bennington, NE. The buyer's email was [email protected]. We figured it out too late. Lost the money and now dealing with a virus on our computer.
