Fake Geek Squad invoice email with a phone number to call
The thing is, I never signed up for this. The email came from some address [email protected] but the invoice was made out to another gmail address that isn't even mine. The "Geek Squad Help Portal" phone number listed was (860) 993-9603.
I didn't pay anything and I'm not going to. I just wanted to report this because I know other people might get this same email and think it's real. The billing info and the way it's worded is meant to scare you into calling them. I almost called the number before I noticed the email addresses didn't match up.
