Hired from job site then check bounced after sending money

I got an email and then a text saying I was hired from a job site. Jobhire.ai. They sent me a check for a sign on bonus and a computer. It seemed normal at first.

They told me to send 3352.00 through Cash App to their computer vendor. I figured the vendor was out of the country so that made sense to me at the time. I sent the money.

Later on I did some research and found out the check was fake. Now Im stuck responsible for all that money. I lost 3825 total. I tried calling the number they gave me but no answer. The address they had listed was 3201 griffin road 206, Miami, FL. The email was [email protected]. Just a mess.

Job site charged way more than the $5 trial I signed up for

I signed up for jobhire.ai thinking it was a legit service to help me find a job. It starts out as a $5 trial which seemed fine. Then a few days later I see a charge for $99/mo. But that wasn't even the worst part. When I went into my subscription page I saw they added extra services on there that I never agreed to. My total monthly bill came to $171.00.

Canceling is a joke too. You have to go through some AI chatbot and it feels really suspicious. I've read other reviews and it seems like nobody is actually getting jobs from this thing.

I called my bank to do a stop-payment but they said the charge might still go through anyway. If it does I'm going to dispute it. Just wanted to put this out there so nobody else gets hit with these surprise charges.
