Check for over 2K from someone I do not know

I got a check in the mail for over 2K from a person I don't know. There was also a paper in the envelope with a name and contact info on who to reach out to.

I looked up the name and there is no doctor in the USA with that name. The email was [email protected] and the other one was [email protected]. The phone number on it was (346) 202-5218 and the address said Prince George, VA.

I didn't cash it or send any money. Just seems like a fake check thing.
