Phone call saying I owe Kaiser money but I'm not a member

On August 24, 2026 at 4:15 pm I got a call on my cell phone. The caller ID said Kaiser Permanente. I'm not a Kaiser member so I thought maybe someone I know was in the hospital, so I answered. He said hello and said my name. He said his name was Gary from member services and that while I make payments on time I still have over 7k in outstanding debt, is that true?

I was shocked and didn't say anything. He then said HELLO really loud and I hung up. It seems like Gary is either scamming and using the Kaiser number or something. Gary, if that is his real name, needs to be fired. The number showed as (510) 248-6765 and the address on it was 39400 Paseo Padre Pkwy, Fremont, CA 94538.
