Phone call saying my flight was no longer available

I went to book a round trip flight from Sacramento, Ca to Kansas City, Mo. The total for the two tickets was $643.00. Then I got a call saying the flight was no longer available but I would be put on standby. For my return flight I would also be on standby but since it was a different time that day I would be charged another $600.00.

I told them to just cancel it and refund my money. They said they couldnt do that because I purchased a standby ticket. The agent would not let me speak and kept talking over me and getting louder to drown me out.

Its a bait and switch scam.
