Letter saying my husband could inherit 13 million from a stranger
It said 10% goes to charity and the rest is split 50-50 between my husband and McKay. The letter came with a phone number 1(437) 212-5021, a website www.mckayslawoffice.com, an address at 81 Garry st Unit 1, Winnipeg, MB, and an email [email protected].
It just doesn't make sense. Why would some lawyer in Canada reach out to us about inheriting money from someone we never heard of.
Letter about a $13.6 million house with no claimant
The letter said there is a house valued at $13.6 million and that I can claim it because there is no claimant found for it. That just didn't make any sense to me. I've never heard of this place or anything about a house like that.
I tried calling the number they listed, (437) 212-5021, but I just get a bad feeling about the whole thing. It feels like they are just trying to get my info. I didn't lose any money, but I wanted to report it. It looks like a phishing thing to me.
