Phone call saying I’d be garnished for a debt I didn’t owe

I got a call from (760) 454-1245 saying I owed a balance and if I didn't accept payment arrangements I would be garnished. So I accepted and agreed to pay them. But after I started looking into the amount, something didn't feel right.

I contacted the original debtor they claimed I owed money to and they told me they never had an account for me there. I didn't owe any balance at all. I already paid them $1100 before I figured this out.

They used the address 27001 Aguirilla Rd, Agoura Hills, CA 91301 and the email [email protected]. I wish I would have checked before I sent them anything.
