Process server call about old Home Depot debt

On 10/12/26 I got a call from 540-299-8659. A man said his name was Michael Anderson and he was a process server for Fauquier County. He said he was trying to collect an old debt from Home Depot. He told me a letter was mailed to me back in April and they never got my response. He told me to call 844-218-6643 and said there would be a lien put against the house if the money wasn't collected before end of the day.

I called that number and got transferred to a rep. He told me I owed Home Depot $3500 from back in 2010. Then he told me my SS#, my driver license #, and some other # claiming it was the account # from a Home Depot CC from 16 years ago. I didn't confirm anything with him.

Today 10/13/26 the same guy Michael Anderson called from 540-299-0446 and left a voicemail which I uploaded to this message. I did not call the phone # he said to call, 844-218-6643, which is the same # I was told to call yesterday.
