Apartment listing scam from Michal Luxury Living, asked for rent and deposit upfront
They said they couldn't do an in-person walkthrough because they had relocated to Rochester, NY. They wanted the first month's rent and a security deposit upfront to secure it. They asked for my ID, proof of income, and had me fill out a rental application. The emails had a video tour and a floor plan, so it seemed believable at the time.
The address given was 2587 37th St Apt #5B, Astoria, NY 11103. The contact name was Daniel Hidalgo and the phone number was (585) 686-4875. The whole thing just felt off once they asked for money without meeting.
