Job onboarding turned into a bitcoin payment I never got back

I thought I was going through a normal job onboarding process. They had me download some software onto my computer that they said they would pay for. Then they emailed me a check and told me to deposit it using mobile deposit on my phone. I did that, and then they said to use the money to buy the software with bitcoin. That's exactly what I did. After I sent the bitcoin, they just stopped answering me. I never heard from them again.

I have the proof of the payment and everything. I can see where the money was taken out of my account and when. It was $1956.11 that I lost. The website was MyoSyntax and their address is in Worcester, MA. I even have the email from [email protected]. I just feel stupid for falling for it.
