Sent deposit for pedicure and got blocked

I sent this lady a $40 deposit on CashApp for a pedicure appointment. She was someone I went to high school with so I figured it was fine. The day of the appointment she cancels on me.

Now she won't answer any of my messages about getting my deposit back. She straight up blocked me on CashApp. I had to file a police report over $40 because it's just not right. I asked around and apparently she does this to a lot of people. This business is a scam.
