Letter about LLC annual report with no real state connection
The email came from [email protected] and they want me to go to their website at nationalfilingscompany.com/renew to take care of it. It all sounds official but something felt off about it. They're not the state, they're just a company trying to look like they're with the government.
I checked the website and it just asks for money to do the filing for you. The state doesn't send emails like this, they send stuff through the mail. I didn't pay them anything but I wanted to warn others. The UBI number they listed for my company was right, which is what made me almost believe it at first. Just be careful with these types of notices.
