Charged for a subscription I never signed up for

I saw a charge on my statement for $34.95 on 8/18/2026. I didn't buy anything from onlinenexu.com so I called them. This guy Juan answered and he was pretty rude. He didn't even seem to know what onlinenexu.com was. He just kept saying it was a subscription fee.

He asked for the last four digits of my card and then said he cancelled it. But this is the second time this has happened. We cancelled an order for athletic socks with Belro on 7/26/2026 and then I got charged $39.99 by Sereyshop.com on 8/9/2026. That one was refunded on 8/11/2026. They told me then there wouldn't be any more charges but here we are again. What is going on with consumer protection in this country?
