Someone claiming to be landlord took our application fee
Then I had a weird feeling so I looked up the Bell County property owners online. It says the house is owned by a company called Opendoor. I called their customer service and asked if Marcus Powell, the guy who said he was the landlord, was actually the landlord. They said no, that only Opendoor owns it. No private party can rent it out and there is no private owner attached to the house.
