Ordered waders, then my card was used for fraud in California

I ordered a pair of waders from Outdoor ISIMO in New York with my credit card. I got a code to enter for the purchase, so I entered it. Then I got three calls from my credit card's Fraud Alert. Someone at a place called Palette Shop in California was making purchases. A couple of charges went through that we thought were for the waders.

Now I'm fighting with my credit card company about it. They shut the card down and sent a new one. I lost over $2000 from this.
