Text about being served but it was a debt collector

First I got a text message from someone saying they were a process server trying to reach me to serve me legal documents. Apparently I was being sued if I paid a loan place. My uncle is a legit process server and he told me they don't try to call you or text you like that. So that already felt off.

I called the 800 number anyway and told them what happened. The gentleman on the phone then threatened to sue me if I did not pay 500 bucks. It was just a weird situation all around.
