Two mystery charges from Prime Defender on our card

We looked at our credit card bill and saw two charges from a company called Prime Defender. One was 19.95 and the other was 9.95, and they hit us in both June and July. We already reported it to our credit card company.

There's no phone number on the statement itself, but I caught it when the charge was still pending and there was a number listed then. That's the only way I could call them. I got a lady on the phone and told her we never signed up for anything. She said it probably came up as a pop up on our computer since it's some kind of software protection.

We never authorized anything or put our credit card info in. After I told her that, she just hung up on me. Our credit card company is refunding the money, but I think someone needs to look into this. The number is 855-718-7363.

Three credit card charges after paying for parking at Edmonton Expo Centre

I was trying to pay for parking at the Edmonton Expo Centre. I used my card and it looked like the charge went through fine. But then I checked my statement and saw three separate deductions I didn't make.

They were all from something called Prime Defender dot com. I have never heard of them before these charges showed up. The total was about 99 bucks and some change. I have no idea how they got my card info from the parking payment.

Parking garage payment pop-up tried to charge me without asking

I was in a parking garage and used my phone to pay like normal. Then this box popped up on my phone from Prime Defender trying to charge me for their service. I never agreed to anything or signed up for it. It just grabbed my credit card payment info from the parking transaction.

They have an address in Vancouver WA at 6106 NE 64th Way and a phone number (208) 761-4670. I didn't lose any money because I caught it but it feels like identity theft or something. No authorization at all. Just a pop-up trying to take a payment.

Tried to download a parking app and Prime Defender tried to charge my card

I was trying to download a parking app and clicked on a link thinking it was the app but it was not. It was Prime Defender and they immediately tried to take $19.99 from my credit card.

Luckily my Apple Card suspected it was a scam and changed my credit card number so the charge didn't go through. But it was scary how fast they tried to take the money. I don't even know how they got my card info from just clicking a link.
