Got an email about identity theft, website asked for my full SSN

I got this email from Conduent, saying my identity was stolen. It came from PO 3826 in Suwanee, GA. They told me to go to a website, privacysolutionsid.com, and use an activation code they gave me.

So I went to the site. It asked for the activation code, then my address, and then my full Social Security number. Every time I tried to put the code in, it gave me an error. It said the code might be incorrect.

This whole thing feels off. Is this just a scam to get my name, address, and SSN? Or is it actually legitimate? I don't know what to think.
