I got an email from [email protected] about a job. Something felt off right away so I checked it out and yeah it's a known scam. They were pretending to be from Publicis Groupe but that email address isn't real.

Email from fake recruiter claiming to be Publicis Groupe

I got an email on June 19, 2026 from someone named "William Dawson" saying he was from the "Global Talent Acquisition team" at Publicis Groupe. The email came from [email protected]. It said my background was a fit for a Director of Marketing role and asked me to reply with a time to connect.

The email address doesn't match Publicis Groupe's real domain. That's a red flag. The whole message sounded generic and kind of like AI wrote it. There were no specifics about the job or team, just a vague pitch to get me to respond.

I didn't lose any money but it felt off. I figured it was a scam to get personal info or ask for payment later.
