Ordered a dog toy and got charged for a subscription I never agreed to

I ordered a dog toy from pupapaws.com and I did get the toy. But the very next day I saw a charge on my credit card for $39.99 from “CUREA.SHOP Homer Glen IL.” That was not what I paid for the toy. I looked it up and found a bunch of reports on Ecautious.com saying this vendor signs people up for a subscription without telling them.

So I went back to the site where I bought the toy and yeah, they had signed me up for something called Pupa Paws+ monthly subscription. I never agreed to that. There was nothing at checkout saying I was signing up for anything monthly. I still have no idea what this subscription even is or what it does. No services or anything. Just a charge I didn't authorize.
