Loan site that looked real took $800 from me

I was desperate for a loan and clicked on what I thought was a legit company. Their website copies a real loan company so when you look them up the trust pilot rating is great. I should have known it was a scam when they said they would send me $800, I send it back, then they release the $2000 I asked for. But I was panicking and let that overrule common sense.

I called my bank the next morning on Oct 2nd to freeze my accounts. I reported it to all 3 credit bureaus, unlinked my account info, and reported it to Cash App. First Heritage Federal Credit Union then made me a whole new account and card. I thought that was the end of it.

Yesterday I opened my account and saw a negative balance of -$800. The bank had made 2 payments of $400 to another branch of the scammers and now they say I owe the credit union $800. I will be filing fraud paperwork.
