Call about winning millions from Readers Digest

Got a call from this guy, James Goldberg, saying he was from Readers Digest. He told me I won $2,500,000 and a new car too. I didn't ask for any of this, he just called out of nowhere.

He said he needed my routing number and account number for my checking account so he could deposit the first $30,000. That didn't sit right with me. Why would you need my bank info to give me money? I told him I wasn't interested and hung up.

The number he called from was (929) 992-0534 and he said he was in Brooklyn, NY. I just wanted to report this so nobody else falls for it. I didn't lose any money but it felt really off.
