Fake invoices tricked our store managers into paying

We are a national business with hundreds of retail locations. These people tricked our managers into thinking they were legitimate or vetted by the main office. They send product, then email the managers for confirmation of orders that were never placed.

Some managers used the product, so we paid for it. Now the AR person from RGM keeps harassing us asking if the cheque has cleared. They keep sending more invoices and getting our AP department involved. It's horrible. We lost $5000 to this.
