Caller said I owed Capital One and sent a demand letter

I got a call from this number (866) 820-0422 and the guy said I owed Capital One for some old credit card balance. That’s just not true at all. I’ve never had a card with them that was past due or anything like that.

Then he sent me an email with a request to sign some document. It was a 30 day demand letter. I didn’t sign it because I don’t owe anything. He called me back the next day too, pushing about it again.

The email came from [email protected]. I didn’t lose any money but this whole thing felt really off. I just wanted to report it.
