Rental ad took my deposit and stopped answering

I found this rental ad for a house on a few different sites. I was looking to rent and the person seemed normal at first. They told me to pay an application fee and then we set up a meeting to view the property. After that they said I needed to pay a deposit to secure my spot. Then they asked for the first month's rent too.

I asked why I was paying all this money when I hadn't even seen the inside of the house yet. They said they would refund me if anything fell through. They sent me emails with a receipt and even a lease agreement. But I never got any keys and no one ever called me back. They just stopped answering the phone. I lost $624 total. The email they used was [email protected] and the website is skyzonehomes. Their address they listed was 4742 Maffitt Ave in Saint Louis.
