Phone call saying my TV service was going to be cut off

I keep getting calls from the same foreign sounding guy saying he's from Spectrum and that my TV service is going to be disconnected for nonpayment. My payments are on automatic withdrawal from my bank account every month. So that made no sense.

I played along for a minute and asked how I could make the payment, because I already knew it was the same call I've gotten several times before. He was trying to get me to pay him right there on the phone while we were talking. I finally told him he was a scammer and that I was reporting the call to the police and Ecautious. The phone clicked immediately.

The number was (205) 987-4148.
