Call about a federal job interview asking for my social

I applied for that announcement DHA-12975102-26-HLT and got a phone call about an interview. The number that showed up was 718-557-3000. I just want to know if that's really the SSA or if someone from their hiring office actually called me.

They told me to call back and leave my name, phone number, and social security number. I did that. Now I'm worried because I gave that info out without really knowing who I was talking to. Can someone confirm if this is legit or not?
