Call saying inspector would visit about SB 350 programs

Someone called me and said they worked for the State of California. They brought up SB 350 and told me an inspector would be coming to my home. They said it was related to programs offering free estimates or rebates for stuff like solar panels, HVAC upgrades, roofing, and even bathroom remodels.

What really got me was that they had my home address. They said they could see my house on Google Maps and started describing it to me. That felt really off. I only confirmed that I lived here and when she asked how long I've been here, I told her. I didn't give any other info.

They gave me a website to check, www.energy.ca.gov, but I'm not sure if that's even legit or just part of the pitch. The phone number they called from was (408) 837-3945. I didn't lose any money, but the whole thing was creepy.
