Call saying my husband's son was arrested and needed $700

We got a call from someone claiming to be a Major Tommy Shelfton with the Stevens County Sheriff. He told us my husband's son had been arrested and that if we sent $700 he could be released with an ankle monitor.

I looked up the sheriff's office and called them myself. They said they don't have any majors there. I knew it was a scam but my husband made me check anyway.

The number that called was (602) 946-7281 and the address listed was 245 S. 10th St., Duncan, OK 73533.
