Called pretending to be a process server about a case

Got a call on my cell from someone named Tamar with civil process dispatch. She said she was calling to verify if I’d be available to accept service of process in some legal matter, and gave a case reference number. Then she said I needed to call 844-218-6638 to give my statement.

First off, I work in the legal field and process servers don’t take statements like that. That’s not how it works at all. The number that showed up on my phone was actually from a legit process server in Fort Myers, FL, but then they want you to call this 844 number instead. It’s a bunch of scammers trying to sound official. Just beware of this.
