LinkedIn job offer asked me to buy expensive equipment

I was contacted through LinkedIn by someone named Tavian Bancroft about an Instruction Designer role. They wanted me to send my resume, so I did. Then I reached out to Yifat Sharabi-Levine who seemed legit and from Catalyst Circles, and she told me it was a real opportunity.

They sent me interview questions through email, pretty normal stuff, and then the same day they offered me the job and gave me one day to accept. The contract came with the offer and they wanted me to buy a MacBook Pro with specific specs, a 5K monitor, external hard drive, surge protectors, and other remote work gear.

The HR person they listed was Adele Davenport. But when I looked up the company address it's just a house in Montara, CA. The salary they offered was way too high for a one-person operation. I also couldn't find Tavian or Adele anywhere on LinkedIn or Google. I never replied to them, but then I saw other complaints on here and Reddit about Catalyst Circles doing the same thing.
