People on TikTok and WhatsApp asking my dad for money

My dad keeps getting contacted on TikTok and WhatsApp by people saying they need money. Some of them tell him if he sends a certain amount, he’ll get $2.5 million back. That just doesn’t make sense to me.

One person is claiming to be Shakari Richardson and asking for Apple gift cards and his PayPal info. Others say they are sick and want recurring payments. He’s been buying gift cards nonstop and sending them. Mostly Apple gift cards, but he also got a Starbucks one.

It’s clearly romance scammers doing this. He’s lost around $5,000 so far. I don’t know how to get him to stop.
