Phone call saying they were serving me papers

Someone called me from (888) 426-7666 saying they were an officer and that they were trying to serve papers for a civil suit. They said it over the phone like that was normal. I don't have any lawsuit going on that I know of.

I asked for details and they didn't really give me anything solid, no case number or anything that made sense. The number shows up as coming from California but I have no idea who these people actually are.

I just want to know who is calling me and why they're saying there's a civil suit against me.
