Mailer with fake government header about my car warranty
The letter looks like it's from the government. It says "Official Business – Penalty for Private Use $300" at the top and it's labeled "FORM 9550-WARR". Like it's some kind of mandatory document I have to deal with. It says "FINAL NOTICE" in big letters and tells me I'll be financially responsible for car repairs if I don't call them right away.
They even had my name, my address, and the make of my car. They got that from public records to make it seem legit. I know this is just a scam to get me to buy an extended warranty I don't need. They're trying to scare people into calling. I'm reporting this so someone looks into it and other people know about this.
