Text about Apple Pay charge from unknown number
The message said I needed to call +1-888-692-7976 right away to report it or they'd process the payment. It felt off. They kept saying "manual official verification" and "prevent unnecessary property losses." That didn't sound like how Apple would actually talk to me. I didn't call the number because I figured it was phishing or something trying to get my info.
I'm just putting this out there so people know. They didn't get any money from me, but it's scary they had my phone number and knew I had Apple Pay at all. The address on file just says TN, USA, no actual company name anywhere in the message. I reported it to my bank anyway just in case.
