Overcharged by black SUV driver near Penn Station

There’s this guy who hangs around Moynihan Train Station in NY offering rides. He acts like he’s a taxi service but he’s not a yellow cab, he drives a big black SUV. I needed a ride on June 4, 2026, from Moynihan Train Hall at 350 W 33rd St. to The Row Hotel at 700 8th Ave. It’s less than 2 miles.

He charged me $80.80. I have the Apple Wallet receipt. Looking at the NY taxi rates, it should have been $32.30 with everything included. I felt ripped off. The trip was short and he overcharged me big time. Just want people to be careful around there.
